A Serius Man / Um Homem Serio


Here they come the Coen Brothers again…their movies are always quite different, but always show us intelligent way of doing cinema.
I have to recognize I’m not the biggest fan about Jewish, and during last years we have seen so many movies talking about Jewish from different points of view.
Here we can see the Jewish community in the 60s in the USA. A man who thinks is happy with an stable life, but suddenly he realizes that it is not true. Everything collapsed around him, wife, brother, colleagues, children,… I think the interesting point about this movie is the way the Cohen Brothers talk about the relationships inside the Jewish community. But this could be extrapolated to any other religious community, how religions set our way of living, our way of reactions to things it happens in our daily life…
